any inside info about the election for senator?

It appears the tv commercials have ramped up. Hogan is deploying ads with his wife and kids. Its hard to find a lot of polling, there was an AARP poll with things tied, the Post just reported on a poll that showed Alsobrooks with a 5 point lead.

Are there really that many D voters who won't vote for a person of color? Hogan ran against two very weak opponents for gov, in my opinion. But there is a common theme here. Moore had the benefit of running against a trump crazy.

I find it hard to believe Marylanders want to help out the republicans taking back the senate, but I was wrong about Trump nationally in 16 and Hogan twice in MD...

however, I don't believe it's a racial issue. Our Governor is black, the mayor of Baltimore is black, my congressional representative is black and my area is rather affluent with an overabundance of financial investment firms, major corporate headquarters, and a ton of prestigious law firms calling this zip code home. It's also very blue here. I think Hogan is far better known and was somewhat respected. Whatever support he may enjoy comes from lazy voters who figure he can't be all that bad and they are simply too busy now that football season has commenced to look into the Democratic candidate. I don't care if he is the second coming, I'm voting blue straight through.

Yes - Know what you mean. Hopefully they can put 2 and 2 together and realize Hogan will gum things up in the senate if we lose the tie or majority.

No inside information here either but a lot of rural MD is pretty red and even though there seem to be fewer Trump signs; there are a lot of republicans out there. She came in as pretty much unkown outside of PG County while Hogan is well known and generally well regarded due to his handling of Covid. I was hoping Hogan would not run but McConnell got him to run so I hope the DSC is helping her out and not taking the race for granted.

I bounce back and forth between Garrett and Howard counties. Couple of weeks ago the trump signs popped up out west like mushrooms in the yard.

Alsobrooks needs to dominate in PG/MoCo/HoCo/Baltimore. Hoping we see some of the national figures stop in MD to help out (Obamas/Harris/etc).
