Masks are back: Maryland hospitals, doctor offices require face coverings again

CBS News, Baltimore, Jan. 23, 2024.

Johns Hopkins hospitals and doctor offices will require everyone to return to wearing masks because COVID-19 and flu cases are high and vaccinations levels are low, officials wrote in a letter to patients Thursday.

The system follows others, including LifeBridge Health and the University of Maryland Medical System, directing patients, staff and visitors to mask up in patient areas.

and there were no other patients there at the time. One Dr. wasn't masked but I wasn't so concerned, he was very professional and I was grateful to finally get an appointment.

I still mask and will continue to do so as long as needed, no matter what anyone thinks. Medical facilities and other crowded places should follow full precautions given the rising cases.

Hand sanitizer dispensers are back up in the grocery store and more people are wearing masks lately around here. People don't look at me like I'm behind the times when they see me wearing one anymore either.

Pandemics go for at least five years.

and the full impacts from infection won't be known for some time. I'm continuing to mask, regardless of what anyone thinks.
