2. Not Surprised

1. He hates Dump. Always has. Tolerated Dump coming to Maryland on occasion to highlight how bad things were in Baltimore.
2. He's not a culture warrior, so he wouldn't endorse DeathSentence. Plus, being a cancer survivor, Larry was probably the only Republican governor who came out strongly for masking and vaccination during the pandemic. As a result, Maryland had some of the lowest mortality rates in the country.
3. He's from the pro-business wing of the Republican party. I thought that he would run under No Labels, since a lot of moderates seem to like him. But, Maryland's finances aren't as great as he claimed, dating to his administration.
4. He's probably bucking for VP or a Cabinet position if Nikki wins.
