It never ends. If this were any other country, a shooting incident such as this one would be major nationwide news. But here it's a 2 minute segment (if we're lucky), and then the media moves back to the ad nauseum coverage of the election count.

"Nothing to see here, move along. And now back to our regular scheduled programming."
