during the White Marlin Open. A boat competing in the fishing tournament rescued the entire crew, plus their beer.
"White Marlin Open 2021 Day 1:
Heard on the radio a boat was sinking, coast guard was coming and we didnt see anyone we probably werent near them. Got their coordinates, reeled in everything and 3100 horsepower full speed ahead went and realized how close we were. They lost the fight on a blue marlin, they lost their boat and their personal belongings and fishing gear, but we did save them! And their beer. So we fed them and added a few to our amazing team for the day
terrifying and wonderful all at the same time. So glad everyone is safe. Captain William Chapman is a hero!! Lets go Fishbone."
Last week a Marylander spent 8 hours and suffered hospitalization reeling in a record 301 lb swordfish.

(28,361 posts)The late, great Dr. Ralph Larochelle proved this. Spent many nights fishing for Bass and Blues on the Saco River in the 60s/70s....he caught trophies. But always with a case of Naragansett 12's under his seat. Good from 9:00-4:00AM.

(28,361 posts)Did I ever tell you the time I got dumped from a day sailer, a mile east off Wood Island Light? No preserver, but faith in the person to bring the skiff about and pick me up? Yeah, that was a 15 year old experience I had.... The swells so high, that you see, then you don't, the object of your intentions?
I'd bounce around among the 'swells' of the Atlantic off Long Beach (NY,) and return home with sunburn.

I *HATE* to go negative on Facebook, but:

Facebook turned over chat messages between mother and daughter now charged over abortion
Facebook turned over the chats of a mother and her daughter to Nebraska police after they were served with a warrant as part of an investigation into an illegal abortion, court documents show.
If we expect jurors to nullify unconstitutional laws against abortion (because, IMO, they establish one religion's beliefs as law, against other religions who do not share that belief,) then companies SHOULD REFUSE warrants based on blatantly unconstitutional laws.
BUT THEY DON'T
