BCFD reporting occupants HEAVILY TRAPPED, Shock Trauma’s “Go Team” has been activated and deployed (Team of Doctors / Nurses / Techs who are flown to the scene via MSP Medivac trained to perform surgical task in the field) It is estimated by incident command that extracation could be upwards of TWO HOURS to free those trapped… Please select alternate routes and make way for EMERGENCY VEHICLES !

The department said the left tube is open as of 3:30 p.m. after traffic was held to allow vehicles that were in the right tube at the time of the crash to leave the tunnel. The right tube is expected to be closed for an extended period for cleanup.

Some years ago I rolled a tractor over on myself and had to be medevaced. My left leg was in jeopardy.

Consummate professionals in pink scrubs. Not a wasted motion as they stabilize you. No raised voices. No hint of how concerned or unconcerned your condition is causing them. Just conversational communication. As I was awake the whole time, they spoke to me directly, explaining what was happening. One of the RNs was charged with sort of being my concierge, mostly just keeping my wife and me informed.

All turned out well. The severed nerves mostly restored. No impact on my ability to walk. And a BODACIOUS scar. LOL

I have gratitude and great respect for them all.
