Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department's Open House Oct. 13 MCDOT is pulling out all the stops with the Street Smart Virtual Reality Challenge at this year's Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department's open house in Silver Spring. WABA will be on site giving safe bicycling instructions and look for the shiny Camaro with the virtual reality challenge, an interactive, virtual reality experience that lets participants encounter multiple traffic scenarios and learn ways to reduce injuries to pedestrians and bicyclists.

Some of the displays and activities will include the Delaware State Police K9 Demonstrations, Police Cars, Fire Trucks, Ambulances, Paramedic Units, County and State Command Centers, Blades Fire Safety House, Fire Marshal’s safety displays, Delaware State Fire School, DEMA, DNREC, 9-1-1 Education, and tours of the Operations area.
