House fire reported in Chesapeake Beach, road closed
Calvert County 04/03/2019 By Marty Madden

Chesapeake Beach, MD - At 4:15 p.m. fire and rescue authorities in Calvert County reported a structure fire on Gordon Stinnett Road. There are reports the building--a townhouse--is collapsing and crews have been ordered out.

The Calvert County Sheriff's Office is shut down due to the blaze. Motorists in the Twin Beach area are advised to use caution.

A helicopter landing site is being set up at Kellam Field. It is believed two injured individuals are being flown to trauma centers. The Prince Frederick Volunteer Fire Department indicated there may be a person trapped in the structure.

At approximately 4:40 p.m. a second alarm went out and crews from Anne Arundel and Prince George's counties are en route.

Mark Brady of the Prince George's Fire Department reports units from Forestville and Croom have been dispatched to the Chesapeake Beach blaze.
