(3,785 posts)These papers provide excellent and vital local news and issues coverage and have great photographers and columnists, too. I know what they do to support good government at all levels.
I am old, so I subscribe to two print (actual print!) newspapers. One, the Kennebec Journal, is on my doorstep 6 days a week. One, from my old hometown in NewYork, the Niagara Gazette, comes in two batches a week by US mail. In these times, I dont take this for granted.
Yeah, I subscribe to three online news sites, too. Journalism is worth supporting.

(29,265 posts)She got an IBM-PC with 2 5-1/4 floppies (one for the - O/S), the other data. She was one of the 1st journalists to get a remote connection with the BDN. She wrote awesome stories with her own by-line.

(29,265 posts)I read the Courier on-line to stay connected with "home"...I think they have the best approach in using both internet and paper to get the news/important local stories reported and covered.
