(9,819 posts)Finally broke down and got a snow blower 3 years ago. Our driveway isn’t very long so DH thought we didn’t need one but he is getting older. He goes out to start it every now and then or otherwise it won’t start when he needs it. Maybe once a year now.

(96,329 posts)But windy as hell, snow by tomorrow night. Then our highs are predicted to be in the 30s and 40s for at least a week. There's a strong stream of wind coming across the Pacific and having an effect this far inland. We get both the Alaska/Canada draft and whatever blows in from the southwest, it all meets here and makes a lot of serious wind.
