Maple sap that is....Mid March and it's probably over.
For the record: 1987 was also a very early sap season. Central Maine also got monkey hammered with a 500 year rain event on April Fools Day

(11,076 posts)We had it in Ohio last week. The storm was large and it parked over our county. Some areas had four inches in less than three hours. Culverts and streams that haven't flooded in 50 years were out. The weird part was that the storm would not move. It sat over us for three hours. The radar initially looked like we would be clear by 5:00 AM but the thing finally moved at 7:00.
Best thoughts to you!

Buy your syrup now because the price is going to be high later this year.

(14,400 posts)they were jabbering pretty fast in that Joual like French dialect they have and I didn't pick it all up. I'm pretty good until they really get going with the slang then I just sit back, drink my beer and look out the window.
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say they're going to be down around 20 - 30%. They're West of Montreal and had a slightly better time with the weather. Lots of ice, not much snow.
