Parsonsfield man arrested twice Monday in dispute over woman

A Parsonsfield man is facing multiple charges after police say he intentionally drove his pickup truck into another vehicle on a Limerick road during a dispute over mutual interest in a woman.

York County Sheriff’s deputies were contacted around noon Monday by a motorist in Limerick who said Tyler Laberge had intentionally driven his pickup truck into the caller’s vehicle. The caller said the incident was related to their mutual interest in a woman and that he feared Laberge was armed, police said.

Sheriff’s deputies found Laberge, 25, at the woman’s house and arrested him on charges of reckless conduct and failure to report a motor vehicle accident by quickest means. Laberge was released on $500 bail on the condition that he not have contact with the woman at the center of the dispute.

Later that day, Laberge went to the woman’s place of employment and tried to initiate contact with her. She called sheriff’s deputies and Laberge was arrested on a charge of violating the conditions of his release. That charge made him ineligible for bail and he was taken to the York County Jail in Alfred.
