Democrats: 51 [more] bills become law after LePage fails to act

http://m.apnews.com/ap/db_268748/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=Dr201CfS

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) - Democratic lawmakers say that another 51 bills have become law after Republican Gov. Paul LePage missed his deadline to act on them.

LePage says he can still veto the bills on his desk when lawmakers return to Augusta because they adjourned last month.

But Attorney General Janet Mills said Friday that that scenario applies only when lawmakers have adjourned with no intention of returning. They plan to return this week.

Among the bills that Democrats say are now law are measures to expand access to a drug overdose antidote and provide insurance coverage for reproductive services to more women.

I see this going to the courts, since LePage will obviously try to veto things anyway. Erich Bloodaxe BSN Jul 2015 #2
Even better, maybe it will improve his odds of being impeached truebluegreen Jul 2015 #3

Certainly hope the Dems have everything correct, and LePage winds up with major egg on his face.

That won't help his chances of getting elected again (assuming he can be.)

even the heritage group are moving away from their puppet gov. as his worse enemy is himself. I'm sure if you have lived in Maine for a few years you have run into a personality such as his. Now before you go bannas at what I am about to print _I am 50% french heritage). not all but many seem to take on the bully know everything demeanor. More often than not they are acting on something they heard but had not experienced. And when they realize it was wrong or they were wrong they will try to bully their way through it,.(after all they know all) hence look who is his partner in stupidity is (think he is elected offical also.)
well the court heard the case-the results were exactly as expected- and he moved on to his next move =I'll show you who is the boss! if you noticed he seems to have developed lock jaw lately=dodging the media!
if you remember more than once the papers and the tv media covered the heritage group
in his kitchen and bathing in their coup! try researching it! ha ha
dunstan is trying to revamp their image=lol
