Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes Gives Birth to Boy
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and her husband announced the birth of their son Wednesday.
Crawford “Ford” Case Grimes was born at 8:17 a.m. Wednesday and weighed 7 lbs, 3 oz.
This is the first child for Grimes and her husband, Andrew.
Grimes, who has spoken publicly about she and her husband’s struggle with infertility, says they have prayed for this day for many years.
“We are overjoyed to welcome Ford into our lives,” she said in the announcement. “We cannot thank enough our amazing team of doctors and nurses over these past several years. We are grateful to everyone who has offered their constant support and encouragement as it has meant more than you know.”
