Kansas District 31 Senate Race...

This election cycle has a definite hold-your-nose factor. The race is between incumbent Caroline McGinn (R) who is somewhat moderate, and a new comer, Gary Mason (R) who is apparently moving into the district from Wichita to run. There is no Democratic candidate in this race. Mason recently received the Chamber's endorsement along with Brownback's, Pompeo's and a bunch of other horrible asshole's endorsements.

About 45 days ago I was contacted by the McGinn campaign about placing a billboard sized sign on my farm, which is on a heavily traveled blacktop in the 31st District. I declined. Then I began seeing Gary Mason signs around, right next to tbagger and Koch puppet Mike Pompeo signs. I began studying the race and found Mason is another Koch tbagger, and I knew McGinn has been moderate to liberal on access to healthcare, particularly on issues of cutting state funding for healthcare...an issue close to my heart as some on this board are aware.

Well...I called the McGinn campaign back and asked if they still wanted use of my property, I am surrounded here by bagger types and had only seen Pompao and Mason signs..They said they did indeed still need a spot in my area. I agreed and now I have a giant sign for a repug on my farm. A good friend and I who previously were registered Dems went and changed our affiliation to Indy just to be able to vote McGinn in the primary.

Holy cow...

My biggest peeve in this election now, is seeing Mason signs and stickers in front of $30k houses and 20 year old cars...I am surrounded by idiots..

Signed..Feeling Dirty Out Of Desperation..

Then retired and moved to KCMO two years ago. And cringe every time I have to cross the state line back into Kansas for any reason.
