Dear Friends:
This is a combined climate and campaign update about upcoming events. Here are three important climate action events I am highlighting:
1. On Friday, October 4, Swedish climate activist, 16-year-old Greta Thunberg will be appearing in Iowa City at a climate strike starting at the corner of Iowa Avenue and Dubuque Street at noon. I have heard this is the location, and I have also heard this will be on the pedestrian mall. Organizers are now expecting a very large crowd so be patient and get there early. I am not sure I will actually be able to attend, but this is a unique opportunity to join Greta for a climate strike in Iowa
My guess is that she will be at the Ped Mall which is 2 blocks south of Iowa and Dubuque.
