On Des Moines' south side, the Bordenaro cousins are waging a nasty war over alleged fraud, harassment — and pizza


Not long after Rick “Anthony” Bordenaro was released from a Tennessee prison in 2014, his cousin Chris Bordenaro put him up in his Des Moines home.

But these days, the two south-side Italians who are just three years apart in age are waging a nasty war against each other.

A woman that both men dated was arrested for allegedly sending pornographic images to Anthony's son; Chris accused Anthony of swindling him and several other businesses; Anthony's 30-foot boat was set ablaze last month; and each man claims the other is trying to wreck their individual pizza businesses.

As the feud has boiled over, there have been harassment allegations to police, bullets shot through car windows, a run-in at the Iowa State Fair, and threats under aliases on Craigslist and social media.
