(Washington) -- Iowa Senator Joni Ernst has mixed emotions about the Environmental Protection Agency's Renewable Fuel Standard levels announced Thursday.
EPA officials announced the RFS for conventional ethanol would remain at 15 billion gallons for 2018. However, the final 2019 biodiesel level remained at 2.1 billion gallons. Levels for advanced biofuels and cellulosic ethanol were also lower than expected. Ernst tells KMA News she was particularly disappointed in the biodiesel levels.

Ernst bullish (BULLSHIT my edit) on Senate tax reform plan
(Washington) -- Iowa Senator Joni Ernst calls the tax reform package making its way through her side of Congress "very favorable" for Iowans.
Ernst rejects reports indicating the bill would actually hurt individuals it intends to help. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office recently projected that the GOP tax plan would increase the federal deficit by more than $1.4 trillion over the next decade and that it would increase taxes on low-to-middle-income people and benefit the wealthy. The Red Oak Republican, however, says the plan would grow the country's Gross Domestic Product, and boost job growth and business development.

Iowa's huge retired population non-billionaires needs to bite her in the butt and I hope it's soon.
