Iowa is having another marathon bible reading at their county courthouses

Last year our governor for life Terry (I'm in China now) Branstad released a proclamation declaring it was OK to have marathon bible readings at courthouses and on courthouse lawns over the July 4th holiday.

Branstad is gone, but his replacement Kim Reynolds re;eased a similar proclamation this year saying "Christian blah--blah--blah":

Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation encouraging all Iowans to join in the historic Iowa 99 County Bible Reading Marathon to take place simultaneously in front of all 100 courthouses. Union County churches will unite again this year to read the Bible from Genesis through Revelation beginning 8 a.m. Thursday, June 29, and ending 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2. Furthermore, Reynolds encouraged all individuals and families in Iowa to read through the Bible on a daily basis each year until the Lord comes.

Community volunteers are needed to help read through the Bible at Union County Courthouse over the course of these four days in 15-minute increments. A canopy tent, podium and Bible will be on site for the readers, along with a team captain who will provide any needed assistance. This is a countywide effort bringing together all churches and interested persons of any age within Union County.

Anyone interested in participating is asked to register for a time-slot online at www.signupgenius.com. To read June 29 or 30, go to www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4fa9aa2ba0f94-2017. To read July 1 or 2, use the following sign-up schedule at www.signupgenius.com/go/4090d4fa9aa2ba0f94-20171. Arrive 5-10 minutes early and feel free to bring along a camera to post pictures on the Facebook page. All participants are invited to attend the closing prayer 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at the courthouse."

This is Branstad's proclamation from last year; this year's is the same but I can't get an image of it:

Read the OT in Hebrew and the NT in Aramaic or Latin.

Sneak some Buddhist and Islamic paragraphs in there and see if anyone notices.

Yet she multiplied her harlotries, remembering the days of her youth, when she played the harlot in the land of Egypt. "She lusted after their paramours, whose flesh is like the flesh of donkeys and whose issue is like the issue of horses. "Thus you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when the Egyptians handled your bosom because of the breasts of your youth.…
