I don't care if they're on the shortlist.

Christie: Fugeddaboutit. Not only for the reasons stated, but also because he's widely disliked and hails from the same region as Trump.

Gingrich: Another smarmy, widely disliked figure. He does have the legislative experience that Trump needs, but even Mitch McConnell has more charisma.

What a bunch of clowns! I read somewhere today that Ben Carson is heading up his search committee for a VP....if he can stay awake.

I figure she's his best bet to woo independents and assuage the fears of women. Especially if his opponent is Hillary, he's got to have a woman on the ticket.

The Red Oak Republican says Trump has the ability to unite the GOP.

“Donald Trump has been able to reach a lot of voters that maybe the mainstream GOP has not been able to reach,” said the senator. “We want to make sure that people understand we are for supporting a strong economy, and for job growth in the United States. And, we do stand for a strong national defense, and protecting our American citizens. Those are are all things we need to share with everyday voters out on the street. And, I think Donald Trump has done that.”

Among other things, Trump has been criticized for making inflammatory remarks about women during the primary campaign. Despite “the Donald’s” past remarks, Ernst insists she will still support him as the nominee.

He wants someone with legislative experience. And since the democrats (most likely) have a woman candidate, the repugs will want one too. It is like when they picked Palin .... they think women are interchangeable.

trump mentioned him again today (or maybe it was yesterday) and Sessions definitely has legislative experience. Sessions is his national security advisor... another area where trump is weak.
