Sioux City IRS office, U.S. attorney's office on Musk's chopping block

The Sioux City IRS office appears to be one of more than 110 locations across the United States that are on the chopping block as the Elon Musk-led Department of Government Efficiency is continuing what it says are efforts to balance the federal budget.

The Sioux City Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Taxpayer Assistance Center is located at 3539 Southern Hills Drive (across from the mall) and has been there for about 30 years. The move comes as Tax Day is less than 50 days away.

Also on the "Wall of Receipts" is an entry for the "OFFICE OF U.S. ATTORNEYS ... SIOUX CITY, IA." DOGE listed a total savings of $126,664 and said the annual least cost is $217,139.

Of course none of the savings claimed is true.

since Iowa polls suddenly shifted to Harris right before the election, they had to do a quick "update" to the tabulation software that they are concerned is too obvious.
