Indiana: Images of the Hoosier State

Today’s photo story is the third in a year-long Sunday series, focusing on each of the 50 states in the United States of America. Indiana’s state motto is the “The crossroads of America,” having long been a hub for the paths and highways that have connected the United States. Its landscape includes prairie, lakeshore, forest, and farmland. Gathered here are a few glimpses into the various features of Indiana, and some of the animals and people calling it home.

I was born in Indianapolis and lived in Indiana for 65 years. Even though I was glad to move away, I still have a soft spot for the beauty of nature there (oh, and for the 500!).

I was born in northern Indiana and am somewhat disappointed no photos from the campus of Notre Dame weren’t included in this set. But forgiven. Cheers

would have been fun. The fog over the umpteen little fry shacks hovers over them in the early morning.

The other thing from Evansville would be a shot of one of the amazing sunsets over the Ohio River. I saw one once which turned the river red.
