Related: About this forumFormer Senator Adlai Stevenson III of Illinois dies
Warmest thoughts and prayers for the family and thanks for the many accomplishments of former Senator Adlai Stevenson III of Illinois (1930-2021). I had the honor of delivering Senator Stevenson's mail and operating his Xerox machine as a 16-year-old intern in his DC office.

He was a very sweet and thoughtful fellow. The Stevenson's hired America's best Klezmer band as a gesture of love towards my Jewish friend and his family. Big hearted and authentic guy.

Sen. Stevenson was one of the kindest, smartest, and thoroughly decent people I've ever met.
Godspeed, Senator!
