Lightfoot's ban on protests on her block. Question.

When I read the reason for the ban, she has a right to her safety. I get that. We all do. But this looks like all the other areas DON’T have a right to safety? I’m trying to discuss this with a GOPper and I don’t live there. Anyone have a way to explain this better? News reports are...thin. Thank you.

The police banned protests on her block due to specific threats. She's obviously in support of the ban, but she didn't order the ban herself. They like to think that because she defended the ban, she instituted it, which is not true.

Didn’t see anything saying the police did this.
