MSNBC this morning seemed surprised that we have tornados like this in Illinois.

Only one dead, but many crushed homes, buildings, and cars, trucks, mobile homes . . . . Just gone.
The winds are scary, and nonstop, the rains have stopped, but, damn this is bad. Tells you thT mommy nature is far more powerful than PNAC or the Cheney/bulshitas.

Sun is out this morning and the wind has died down. The damage in Ogle County is horrific, though thankfully only one person appears to have been killed by that.
Heard on the news that volunteers won't be accepted until tomorrow.

Of course, they often seem surprised to find out that there's weather at all so far from NY City and DC.
