Anyone else feel like me voting yesterday

That awful feeling know Chuy would lose and that awful feeling knowing the aldermanic candidate in my ward with all the pics of him with rahm on his campaign material winning, too.

1. Do you think if the over 50% would have voted you candidate may have gotten elected?

2. I don't know. Lots of people hate rahm. But, there was so much misinformation out there.

I really think Chuy would have done better with less campaign promises for new programs when our city is so deep in debt. That actually bothered me a bit. I know lots of programs are investments for the future but we really are in a huge hole. We shall see if we turn into Detroit.

I think the alderman in my ward won largely with lots of rahm money and a very strong ground game. He probably will vote constantly with our mayor.Weirdly enough the more liberal candidate got endorsed by the trib and the suntimes in the alderman race. But, she still lost. She used to work for Jan Sharkowsky who also endorsed her.

His heart is in the right place. But if he talked more about getting out of debt first, he would have had a better chance

ran your basic- i am not him- campaign. that never works. ever. you have to put your plan on the table. this doesnt take money, it takes a smart candidate.

3. If Rahm had gone down, so would your alderman.

You alderman was draped all over Rahm the same way Rahm was draped all over President Obama when he was last in town.

The money was the key to Rahms' victory. Rahm and his 30.6 million and Chuy with his 6 million dollars. Just think if the funds were similar. Chuy didn't stand a chance. I heard on the news that Chuy didn't have enough money to get his point/Ads across the way that Rahm did. The only good thing about last nights election is that all politics are local. So Hillary still has to be careful.

And a few of the people that Rahm had backed...lost. So, his money and hugs didn't go far enough drag all the others over the finish line.

He had to build an infrastructure quick with a lot less money. Although SEIU was helpful.

many people.
