Idaho Democrats form rapid-response team
While many Democrats cling to the faithless elector as a final attempt at trumping Donald Trump and keeping him from securing the White House, many Idaho Democrats are taking a different tack.
After hundreds of people expressed interest in volunteering, Idaho Democrats created a rapid-response team to amplify members voices and hold GOP elected officials and the Trump administration accountable, according to a recent release.
When we were out traveling after the election one of the things that kept coming up over and over again was the feeling that people really didnt know how their legislators were voting during the legislative session, said Idaho Democratic Party Chairman Bert Marley. They werent informed on certain issues. We had the feeling that we need to hold (legislators) more accountable.
Marley added that over 200 people have voiced their support. The rapid-response team will consist of individuals who are going to be lobbying, using social media and writing letters to Idaho Democrats.
