Sergio Alcubilla shares Hawaiis values of looking out for others, working hard and serving the community with real care. He is progressive and very much grounded in good common sense.
Im so deeply thankful that someone with so many options is willing to take on this challenge.
He wa planning to run for Lt Gov but was encouraged by many to run for CD1 instead.
That takes some courage and commitment.
I called my congressmen today. I had the privilege of calling Kai Kaheles office and thanking them for doing such a good job and trying so hard for us as well as supporting President Bidens budget for reconciliation.
Then I had to call Ed Case. (Sigh) Anyway
Thank you very much for taking a few minutes to learn about a wonderful new candidate who I believe in. I really think there is enough frustration with Rep Case, and Sergio is strong enough and positive enough to win this race.
Ps please remember a lot of people thought Ed had it locked against our beloved Senator Akaka in 2006 and he lost badly.

(18,938 posts)John Witeck persuaded me to take a good close look at him. John as you may know was a Freedom Rider who marched w Dr King.
I read the issues page on his website and Ive been in touch with him just lightly. I havent met him yet in person or asked him any hard questions. Nobodys perfect but this guy has got a lot going for him. Its highly unlikely were going to get anybody with much experience to run against Ed.
Candidates are always a sort of a Rorschach test arent they? But I do think he is worthy of Patsys seat (and Mark Takais.)
I think that he will make us proud.
