Apparently there is a contingent of "Proud Boys" on Oahu. There was a report of their leader being arrested on the mainland. Any news about an armed group showing up at the capitol building?
We do have some tRumpers around Hilo, not very many, certainly not waving guns.

(281 posts)Is a Class B Felony in the State of Hawaiʻi. Transport of a firearm is governed by several restrictions, for example, they must be in a case, and ammo must be carried separately. I would not expect to see armed protesters anywhere in Hawaiʻi, and certainly nowhere near the capitol building.

The last thing I heard he was being detained for his part in the January 6 uprising at the capitol.
This must look like a weird flashback but I never came across you before so went to check what you have written and get to know you a little bit. Nice to meet another islander here on DU.
Here are some articles. I had a friend who knew him at UH Manoa and said he was a sociopath
well everything you already can imagine, times 10.

(281 posts)I have been on DU for a time, starting under a different member name, somewhere around when Obama got elected. I like to check the Hawaii group. Been in Hilo since 1975.
