Petition against HB-875 "Safe Carry Protection Act" - allows guns in bars, churches, schools, etc.

Our wingnuts are racing each other to the extreme far right. HB-875 aims to take away virtually all restrictions on where guns can be carried. It's obvious to most people (except of course our extreme right wing state government) that allowing guns into bars is a stupid idea, as is allowing guns to be carried on college campuses.

In addition to contacting your reps about this, here's a petition from Credo

Normally whomever is the craziest wins the primary nowadays, and with those gerrymandered districts the GOPer nominee is guaranteed a win.

Our legislators are doing NOTHING to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. They're only caving to the gun lobby and NRA and sponsoring legislation which will sell more guns and ammo. When I was robbed, yeah, I was plenty pissed off about it, but I was unharmed. If I'd have had a gun I'd more than likely wound up getting shot.

There is zero evidence to support these right wing talking points that more people with guns somehow equates to less crime or fewer causalities in a public shooting. It takes constant intensive training to know what to do in an armed confrontation, all these Rambo wanna-bees think in their feeble little minds that they could take down a criminal but the sad reality is that they'd only make matters worse.
