Alleged truck thieves in Georgia take selfies with driver's phone
CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. (WTVC) — Authorities in Catoosa County, Georgia, arrested alleged truck thieves who inadvertently gave investigators a big break.
A post on the Catoosa County Sheriff's Office Facebook page says a Chevy Silverado pickup truck was stolen on Sunday.
The driver of the pickup left his cell phone in the truck and investigators say the alleged thieves used that phone to take selfies. The photos are believed to have been taken while the thieves were driving the stolen truck. Additional photos appear to have also been taken at another location.
The alleged thieves apparently were unaware that the photos would automatically upload to the driver's Google account.
