"Lies from the pit of Hell " Rep. Paul Broun to run for Saxby Chambliss Senate seat

Just what GA needs this buffoon.
Hopefully he will lose both his run for his house seat and the Senate.

Who would you like to see run for Senate ?

What about ex Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin? She was effective and popular.

Who could run and win Vs. Broun for house seat? The district has been so badly gerrymandered recently , it will be hard for our side to win.

Thoughts?

the state is filled with uneducated bigots as well as educated narcissists.

The poor, uneducated will support whoever the pukes nominate because they have an "R" by their name, hate fags, love guns and Jebus. Those are their only criteria...oh and they hate that N....... Oblama in the people's "White House".

The educated are those that are a bit more sophisticated. They buy into the rapture and the prosperity gospel where the rich are meant to be rich because wants it that way. They will fight tooth and nail to be sure they keep what is theirs. Further if they can make other people feel less than themselves --- minorities, the less financially well-off, gays, women, etc. that is just a bonus.

I live here and this is one fucked up state. I can only hope that demographic changes will make this state once again competitive for a Democrat or 3rd party candidate.

I've had the misfortune of living in SC, TX, Pa. & Ga. I didn't realize how good things were (politically) in Pgh, until I was relocated to SC. It's like another world! Things existed there that I never dreamed still existed anywhere, like the KKK marches, a water fountain down a side street in downtown Greenville that still had a sign "Blacks only" hanging over it. Tx. wasn't much better, and in some things they were worse. We moved to Tx. just after GWB was elected Governor. He destroyed the State from what it was like when Ann Richards was Gov. Then we moved to Ga. I don't have to tell you all the problems here, but the 3 southern states we lived in all share some awful traits. Hatred of all Blacks, a majority of RW extremists who would destroy anyone who even leaned toward being a Democrat, and successfully putting fear in me of showing or saying my Dem. beliefs because they'd key my car, verbally threaten my life, or outright shoot you!

I too keep hoping that there will be enough people who move here from the North that it will change the State to at least purple, but I've been here 1 years and I think I'll be dead and gone before that ever happens.

There are rarely any Democrats on the local ballots, so I don't vote in them, as my only choices are Republican candidates.
