(198 posts)We've had two elections using the new equipment. A primary in March, and a run off in June. In Gwinnett the March election was a major "cluster" because the equipment wasn't delivered to many precincts in time for setup before poll opening. At my precinct, instead of having equipment on site Monday evening, available for prepositioning and validations, it wasn't delivered until much later, meaning we had to deal with new equipment setup only on election day. Someone in the county lost their job because of that screw up.
June went off as one could expect. Equipment on time and poll opened on time.
I heard on the radio that a network configuration issue was discovered, and fixed Wednesday. This is equipment used only for Advanced In Person voting. With the network slow down and a huge early turnout, the inevitable happened.
