How refreshing to find such a resource in this very red state.

(2,593 posts)we can get! While I recognize that it's going to take a lot of time and a lot of work, I hope this is the beginning of a more active opposition to the Republican rule here.

(30,947 posts)I was beginning to think I was the only Democrat in this red state, especially in Cherokee County where I live because it is just about 100% Republican.

(2,593 posts)We still have a few Democrats here, but they are not very vocal anymore. It's like everyone is waiting for something to happen that will break the Republican hold on the state. Not sure what it will take, or when it will happen.

(30,947 posts)Glad to see another Democrat in my area. My county is so, so red, but I live here, so I have just learned to live with the Republicans.
I'm in Hall County :-[

(3 posts)I wanted to enthusiastically recommend this organisation. For those that don't know, these are the guys who got the vid of the infamous and very comical "Obama mind control" meeting.
They also had something to do with the developing story of state rep Don Parsons.
Seriously, watch these guys. Some big stuff is going to come out of here.
Keep your eyes on these guys as well http://progeorgia.org/ The site doesn't have a lot on it, and they probably won't do anything as noticeable and public as Better Georgia, but they WILL do a lot of the necessary foot work needed to turn this state blue.

(2,593 posts)What's going on with Don Parsons? I haven't heard anything about him, although I did see that Balfour is likely stepping down from his leadership position due to ethics problems.
