Cop used unnecessary and unreasonable force...

This was the story of a 22 year old killed for breaking into some cars in Midtown Atlanta. The story on the news kept changing and I knew there had to be more to this than they first reported.

After the investigation, the sorry excuse of a cop was fired. I guess murder charges may be next.

1. Still something is missing

quotes from the article:

"We know the officer did not ID the person in the vehicle"

Police said the evidence suggests the officer fired his gun without really knowing who was in the car and when he opened fire, he violated the department's policy.

This makes me wonder if the victim owned the car he was shot in.

2. There seems to be way more than what they are reporting...

even now. And I have to say I am surprised the cop was fired this quickly.

3. I haven't even heard if the cop had actually seen the suspect trying to break into a car

All I've seen so far is that a complaint was called in stating that someone was trying to break into a car, and that the officer witnessed someone getting into a car and driving away. With the few facts that have been presented so far it's completely possible that a totally innocent man was gunned down. (And even IF the victim had been trying to break into a car a cop doesn't have the right to inflict the death penalty on him).
