Pensacola City Council President Jared Moore announces he won't seek re-election
PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Pensacola City Council President Jared Moore says he will not be running for re-election.
He made the announcement Tuesday during a special council meeting.
Moore has served District 4 on the council since 2018. He was eligible to run for a third term but decided against it.
"I think he really is the gold standard of what you'd hope to have out of somebody, a city councilmember representing our citizens," Mayor D.C. Reeves said. "So, sad to hear that news, of course... But his focus and my focus will be, of course, who will go into District 4 next year. And how we can ensure that District 4 has somewhere close to the representation they've had over the last seven years..."
