Florida legislature passes 15-week abortion ban, DeSantis expected to approve legislation

The Hill

The Florida state Senate on Thursday evening passed legislation banning abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, sending it for consideration to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who has already signaled he will support it.

In a 23-15 vote, Florida's upper chamber passed the 15-week abortion ban after the Florida House of Representatives approved the bill last month.

Next on the agenda is Contraception of ALL types. Medical procedures such as Tubal ligations, vasectomies could be outlawed. Miscarriages will be subject to criminal prosecution based on the false pretense of intent.

When Roe v. Wade is overturned this summer, the streets of America will be crowded with women from all backgrounds marching. Their voices will be deafening, indeed.

This will not be a feather in the caps of Republican lawmakers in the states. This will backfire on them horribly.

It is just another way of cementing their position with their mad-dog Christian voters. There is a notion that women should be pregnant, barefoot and under supervision of men as God intended. It is about control, not morals.

The number of Republican friends and associates whose wives, daughters and girlfriends have had abortions. Not fundamental types, but low taxes types.
