3 Florida men charged after violent pro-Trump riot at U.S. Capitol
At least three men from Florida have been charged with unlawful entry in the chaotic breach of the U.S. Capitol by a mob supporting Donald Trump, in addition to the Sanford firefighter who has been placed on leave after images surfaced that appear to show him participating in Wednesdays violent event.
The U.S. Capitol Police say John Anderson of St. Augustine, Michael Curzio of Summerfield and Matthew Council of Riverview are facing the unlawful entry charges. It wasnt immediately clear Thursday whether they were jailed or whether they had lawyers to represent them.
The USCP is continuing to review surveillance video and open source material to identify others who may be subject to criminal charges, Capitol Police said in a press release.
In the Sanford firefighter case, the exclamation We are storming the Capitol yeah baby! and others are heard in a pair of videos leaked to the Orlando Sentinel which appear to show a man boasting as he marches through the U.S. Capitol during the riot there Wednesday.
