I haven't posted a single thing that is not out there in the public. Anyone walking past Lafayette Square gets to watch the Secret Service set up for Zelenskyy's visit.

The most obnoxious thing Zelenskyy's likely to encounter while in DC is heckling during his speech tonight from (redacted, because I'm at work, and I can't discuss politics on a work computer}.

9. There's something a little

disturbing about watching the SS set up - when Obama spoke at ASU at one point before he arrived I noticed some people up behind the stage on both sides walking along with cases and I remember thinking "what's going on." Then they proceeded to set up high powered rifles pointing in multiple directions (including at us, if I recall correctly) and I thought "oh, shit, there are basically snipers up there!" It was one thing knowing stuff like that is usually done, it was another thing watching it in real time! It definitely felt weird watching it!

11. I looked at some of the security provided at O'Hare

when Obama came there after winning reelection. We were there only because we were volunteers who had done a great deal of work. We had golden tickets!

The security was already in place when we got there. It was impressive.
