Winter storm warning for several inches of snow in D.C. area Monday, falling heavily at times.
We now expect 3 to 6 inches of snow in the immediate area, with more to the south. Travel could be very difficult in the morning.

(8,822 posts)The local news and the post are hyping this snowfall a lot, but the ground is so warm, I have no idea how we will get much snow accumulating. Not saying its not going to snow, and hopefully it will be a pretty snow, but how does it not melt when it hits the ground.

(136,055 posts)forecast doesn't reach 30s until 4 a.m., no snow until 6 a.m, temp doesn't reach 32 until 2 p.m, but forecast will have BEEN snowing since 7 a.m.

(8,822 posts)We actually got snow, it is sticking, and driving in the neighborhoods sucked. Once to the main roads, not too bad.
