Cherry Blossom prediction is out.

Because of mild March temps, we think they'll come out a bit early again, but not as early as last year.

(WaPo link 'forbidden.' Mebbe due to recent bezos announcement.)

'The D.C. area has endured its chilliest winter in several years, but signs of spring are emerging. This week, a trio of mild days with highs in the 60s will not just melt away remnant piles of snow, it should launch the Tidal Basin’s famed Yoshino cherry trees into their bloom process.'

...my husband's final Air Force assignment. Seeing the cherry blossoms was always a thrill.

One of the prettiest sights on the planet, IMO.

Lived in DC for 20+ years, and my office was across the Mall from the Tidal Basin, so walked over during many lunch hours. NOW I'm in southern MD, so too far to get into DC, and do miss it.
