and Martin Freeman reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson in a special Emmy Award-winning episode that visits 1890s London. Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington), Inspector Lestrade (Rupert Graves) and Mrs. Hudson (Una Stubbs) also turn up at 221b Baker Street.

Sherlock: The Abominable Bride airs Sunday, September 8 at 8pm on WETA PBS or watch now with WETA Passport.

That was a very well done series. I don’t know the exact order of importance of English roles to Brit’s but I’d expect Bond and Holmes to be high on the list. He seems to really take pride in doing this role.
