It's just devastating': Food Bank of Delaware loses 900,000 meals to federal cuts

"The Trump administration has canceled 19 truckloads of food headed for the Food Bank of Delaware, leaving the nonprofit scrambling to figure out how it will continue to meet the needs of hungry Delawareans....

The canceled shipments equate to 750,000 pounds of food or 900,000 meals that would have directly benefited residents across the state....

Food from the USDA accounts for nearly 50 percent of the food distributed by the Food Bank of Delaware. The shipments that were canceled were supposed to include pork chops, chicken, cheese, milk, fruit, eggs and more."
