I figure I'll get some polls going on our state.
Which Congressional District do you live in? And how is the election coming up looking?

(12 posts)Honestly I haven't been following state politics too closely lately but I don't see the All- Dem congressional delegation as being in trouble. The Dems have state senate/house majority leaders. The Gov & our 2 Senators are also Dems.

(16,308 posts)A know a lot of teachers, who heavily supported his election, feel he stabbed them in the back on the new standards. And his last election was real squeaker.

(12 posts)On the GOP side Tom Foley is the front runner but thankfully they have 6 candidates for the nomination. Hopefully its an ugly primary.

(20,176 posts)I don't think Beth Esty is in any real danger of losing...though I'm starting to get tired of her calling me constantly with robo-calls asking me to participate in a "phone town-hall meeting" because she wants to hear from her constituents on the issues that matter to them.
Just have a goddamned meeting and if I want to, I'll show up. I'm probably not going to show up since I don't care about other people's issues (Seriously, have you ever attended one of these things? I used to have to go for a previous job...people have the dumbest issues and wants.) and I'm voting for her regardless.
Governor Malloy OTOH, if I had to guess from the people I talk to, has no chance of reelection...even the Democrats I talk to here in NW CT hate his guts. I fear he's going to have some serious negative coattails and cost a lot of downticket Democrats their jobs.
