The morning show at 7 am is sooo bad....
The dim-bulb glo of a host is too stupid to talk about this subject. The Ukraine mess really emphasizes how much we miss David Sirota. Yesterday, the host tried to tell us that the Black Sea emptied into the Atlantic. If you're going to do a show, do a little research first! Contrast this with Rachel Maddow who gave her audience an in-depth review of the Budapest Memorandum.
Today, they started the show with a guest right out of FAUX news. How terrible was that goof?!!! The 7am show on the Ukraine is a hysterical mess. This Ukraine thing is bad but George H.W. Bush invaded Panama with 27,000 troops! That's over 4 times as many as Putin has in the Ukraine. The right wing is trying to increase the hysteria and the 7am show with it's "regular" contingent of right wing cracked tea pots are only too happy to add to it.
Stop the misery, give us a host who isn't a complete moron.

(1,230 posts)Worst talk show ever. Don't even bother listening any more.
If 760 put Stephanie Miller on in the morning, it would be the number one show in Denver.

(1,314 posts)For a minute I thought you were talking about Peter Boyles. Yes, Glo was particularly ill-informed and more often than not we changed the channel to KBCO. But David Sirota? Smart though he was, he was mean to callers. The host I will always miss is Jay Marvin.

(2,012 posts)David Sirota does his homework. When he went on KOA with Michael Brown I about barfed and told him I couldn't listen to a station that has Mike Rosen, Limbaugh, and Brown all on one day. Got a nasty email back but soon after he was gone from there and now writes for PandoDaily. His articles are great, this week's about Chris Christie, few pundits are as thoughtful or as courageous.
And there are so few of them left. Even NPR has sold out. Just as the Denver Post has cut out the good columnists they had, it is easy to see what Carroll has done with the Opinion page and know it's in the pocket of Repugs at the Legislature, Big Oil and gas, Bruce Benson and his TX friends. The Boulder Camera, owned by the same MediaNews Group as the Post, still tries to hold out as progressive but mostly prints articles from the Post.
I'm truly grateful I don't live in TX, MS, LA, FL, VA, IN, WY etc etc but I'd be more thankful if we had progressive media in CO.

(1,314 posts)He says Clear Channel will change the format of 760 to business and finance. The only remaining progressive AM channel is WPCT (WCPT?) out of Chicago. Norman said the future was in digital streaming, getting apps for the talk shows you like.
