Regardless of how humorous a nickname: I think this young'un (and her Mommy) need to have explained to them that this isn't some sort of game. Words matter. Actions matter. When you have the big microphone of being a seated member of Congress: it DOES matter that you have at least a vague idea of how the government works and understand your job. (right, she's hardly the only R in the house or senate that seems to have missed their entire civics/government classes) I do wonder what was in the heads of folks who actually voted for her; what kind of choices did they have?? or are they the kind of voters Jefferson feared most, the under-educated?
Yes, she should face legal consequences for her actions -- as should the other enablers...
Yes, we (as a nation, not we as just DUers) must assist any way we can to up the level of understanding of government for folks.
We've a ton of work to do -- but thanks to DU, we have moments of smiles...
