Living Blue in a Red county

Last edited Sun Mar 25, 2018, 11:29 AM - Edit history (1)

Yeppers, our county assemblies were today. In Weld County, Republicans and Democrats convened at separate locations and had pretty much the same attendance. But you'd never know that by reading the Greeley Tribune. This is the event reportage that greets readers, and no, there is no article about the Democrats' gathering. Yes, the paper is routinely accused of being a "liberal rag".

UPDATE

This morning there is an article about the Democrats' assembly. Unlike the GOP article, it has only one photo. It also lacks the candidate profiles that were part of the other article, and the thing is less than half the length and none of the depth of the other.

Amusing that both articles carry the same "date", given that the first appeared a good twelve hours before the second was added in the middle of the night.

You have my sympathy. At least Colorado is blue/purple now. Boulder county is a breath of fresh air, although I don't take anything for granted. I still want to have a DU meet up before November.

You have my sympathy. I live in Cortez and Montezuma County went 70% tRump. In the good news department, we had our very own "March for our Lives" rally today and the turn-out was amazing! Maybe there's hope yet!
