21-year-old jailed after allegedly threatening Colorado state senator using Facebook
A judge Monday ordered a 21-year-old Arvada resident to post a $1,000 personal recognizance bond following an incident in which police say he used Facebook to threaten a state lawmaker.
Dylan Hopkins was jailed Saturday after police arrested him for threatening to shoot Colorado Sen. Laura Woods, R-Arvada, police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan said.
Hopkins apparently threatened to shoot Woods in the head. He faces charges of harassment involving use of a computer, McGranahan said.
Police responded after Woods notified them of the threat, she said.
