(2,430 posts)Just before the quake my phone cranked out a klaxon alarm that scared the shit out of me! It was the USGS earthquake warning system. By the time I read the duck and cover warning on screen my bed was shaking. Gently, thank goodness. The tremors lasted for several seconds. No damage.
