Looks like the fire originated under the pier. Single business at the end of the long pier, "Ruby's restaurant", has been vacant for three years.

It's still burning up, flames and smoke on both floors. Fire boats mostly knocked down the fire under the pier, but the wood decking around the structure looks like toast and could be dangerous to walk on.

Helicopters are doing effective deluge drops, while the firemen on the pier are shooting water from a safe distance.

I saw a couple of drones doing their thing, so there could be some YouTube footage soon.

From below the pier, from helicopters above, and on the actual pier. I thought it was a brush fire at first since it was so big and the smoke was black.

The earlier drops were little helicopters dropping a small amount of 'brown' fire retardant until the pros from Dover showed up.
